11 Prefectures of Japan were in a State of Emergency until 7 February. Those prefectures were Tokyo, Chiba, Saitama, Kanagawa, Ibaraki, Aichi, Gifu, Kyoto, Osaka, Hyogo, and Fukuoka.
This State of Emergency has been extended until 7 March for all prefectures except for Ibaraki, which has been taken out of a State of Emergency but still has some restrictions in place in regards to the opening hours of restaurants, bars and pubs.
In regards to the other 1o prefectures, the state of emergency is temporary in place until 7 March. However, as the case of infected people has decreased much more than expected, there is a strong possibility that the State of Emergency will finish in all Prefectures well before 7 March.
This is great news for Japan and we look forward to getting closer to opening up the borders to you all.
