Day One – Arrive into Tokyo (Narita or Haneda Airport)

Spend your first 3 nights in one of the leading technological locations of the World.  Have an English Speaking Assistant meet you at the airport and escort you to your accommodation using the public transportation. Day Two – Tokyo Sightseeing

Half Day Tokyo Sightseeing

Today you will be introduced to Tokyo the largest City in Japan with an English Speaking Guide and using a Chartered Vehicle for Half a Day. Visit Tokyo’s oldest Temple, Asakusa Temple along with all the shops that line the main path to the Temple. Also visit Tokyo Tower, the original Tower, and also have time to explore the upmarket Ginza Shopping district. Dinner is at a highly reputable Sushi restaurant in the night district area of Azabu or similar area.

Day Three – Free at Leisure

Exploration awaits

Today can be a day free at leisure to explore Tokyo’s mighty skyline by yourselves. (The Guide from yesterday will advise directions).  It may be great to have you visit the younger generation areas such as Harajuku and Takeshita Street. This is where trends are created. Next to the Harajuku Station is also the entrance to the important and most visit shrine in Tokyo, the Meiji Shrine. This area should really be seen by anyone who comes to Tokyo. Also visit Shibuya for the famous scrambled crossing which has 2000 people crossing it each time the lights change. Also maybe visit Akihabara area for the electronics as well as anime / and sometimes weird sub cultural areas. You also may like to see the sophisticated Aoyama area and the high class shopping district of Ginza.

Day Four – Transfer from Tokyo to Hakone

A Night of Wellness

With your English Speaking Guide transfer from Tokyo to Hakone by the Shinkansen (Bullet) Train and enjoy Hakone Sightseeing including the geo-thermal area of Owakudani, Lake Ashi and use the Ropeway and Pirate Ship cruise to get there. From many angles see Mt Fuji and finish the day with the powerful Hakone Shrine. If you have an interest in art, the Open Air Museum close to the Gora Park must be visited. Arrive at your accommodation which will have a private hot springs bath in your room and dinner will be included as a Kaiseki Traditional meal. Day 5 – From Hakone to Kyoto

After a night of relaxation and revitalization, transfer from Hakone to Kyoto on the Shinkansen (Bullet Train) . After arrival, meet your English Speaking Guide and make the most of your time by enjoying an introduction to Kyoto by visiting the oldest Temple and the gateway of Kyoto that has been in the same location for over 1200 years. This temple is an art form in itself, with the largest 5 story Pagoda in Japan. Listen to the interesting stories from the Guide, feel history and be overwhelmed by the larger than life size Buddha statues that also date back some 1200 years. Before your arrival at your hotel, see the Nishiki Markets which have been the Kitchen for Kyoto people for over 400 years.

Day Six – Kyoto Sightseeing

The Icons of Kyoto

Today, with an English Speaking Guide , visit Arashiyama district. With the Katsura River flowing through Arashiyama, you can visit the very famous Bamboo Grove with many people, but then also walk to a Bamboo Grove that is only known to people you live here, and very few people. See Togetsukyo (Bridge to the Moon) as well as going to a Zen Temple with a Stone garden. This Zen garden was made famous by Queen Elizabeth in 1975 and it plays tricks on your eyes and mind.   You can see the Golden Pavilion which is one of the 17 World Heritage Unesco locations in Kyoto. The Golden Pavilion is a World Heritage but not a Japanese National Treasure. Listen to the reason why, and also see what the Golden Age of Japan created. This is Japan’s version of Camp David and was built by one of the most famous Shoguns of Japan.

Day Seven – Private and Exclusive Arrangement

A Life Changing Experience at a World Heritage Temple

Today will be an exclusive arrangement . By a Chartered Vehicle and English Speaking Guide you will be taken to a very special World Heritage Temple in the outskirts of Kyoto. Have a private Monk show your around the complex and learn their day to day activities. You will be exclusively let in to areas of this Temple that are not open to the public and be able to view some Japanese National Treasures. During your stay at the Temple you will be treated to a deluxe Shojin-Ryori (vegetarian Monk food) lunch and a Japanese Tea Break. There will be exclusive Ceremonies performed by the Monks solely for you. Day Eight – Kyoto Sightseeing

Hands on Experience

Meet with your English Speaking Guide at the Hotel Lobby and commence another day of Kyoto Sightseeing. Start the by visiting the very popular, Kiyomizu Temple located on an elevated hill to look over Kyoto. This Temple does not use 1 single nail in its creation, an amazing example of architecture. Approx. 40000 people each day come here. Walk through the Traditional GION area which is where the Geisha still work today and board a local train to the Fushimi area. You next stop can be THE most visited Shrine in all of Japan, The Fushimi Inari Shrine. Be taken back by all the thousands of bright red Torii gates, which also is the headquarters for all 30000 Inari Shrines of Japan. The foxes are the messengers of this Shrine. Return to central Kyoto and finish your Japan Tour with a Hand on Experience. You will be cooking a typical Japanese meal in a traditional Kyoto style house that has been refurbished into a Cooking studio. Try your skills at cooking, and then eat your creation for dinner.

Day Nine – From Kyoto to Tokyo and on to the Airport

Take your hundreds of memories back home

Check out of your Kyoto Hotel and proceed to the Kyoto Station with an English Speaking Assistant . You can board a mid morning Bullet Train bound for Tokyo. After arriving in Tokyo meet with your English Speaking Assistant who will take you to Narita (NRT) or Haneda (HND) Airport depending on your flights.   Arrive at Narita (NRT) or Haneda (HND) Airport and taking your many hundreds of new memories and hundreds of photos, proceed to the Check in counter to prepare for your homebound flight.
