Born and breed in Auckland, New Zealand, but now has spent over 25 years living in Japan, and all these years in the Tourism Industry.
Visiting the Temples and Shrines of Kyoto is Scott’s largest pastime. He is deeply interested in Japanese History, especially the history of Buddhism.
A particular interest in the architecture of the Temples and Shrines as well as Buddha Statues, especially the masterpieces made from Japanese Cedar and other woods.
Being a fan of Beer and Japanese Sake he is always trying to find those little and secret local drinking outlets. Wind down time, the Japanese way. Going to the Sake breweries and tradtional storage houses is also educational while being able to enjoy a few local sakes.
